Capitalism: a reminder

Since the British, American, and European governments have so clearly forgotten what capitalism is, here’s a reminder for them from those smart children at Western High School.  Just think of what government is doing to that weenie salesman.

Even the socialist girl in the film gets it:

Freedom of contract, competition, profit motive, private property: and what do they all add up to?  Free enterprise.  Well that’s what capitalism is: a system of free enterprise.

That’s a lot of new words for government to learn all at once.  Remember, class, it is for you to develop conclusions as to what capitalism means by considering the material presented here, by further study of your own failing socialist economies, and by discussing in groups how best to avoid getting the blame for socialism’s failure.
